My Wonderful Life

What We Learned at the ICCFA Convention

posted on 3/16/10 by Sue Kruskopf

Nancy and I just returned from the ICCFA convention, which is the best of the "funeral conventions" because it provides the best new thinking and information from some great speakers. Rhonda Harper, who was a VP at Walmart, talked about how the industry needs to change to adapt to the needs of all of us in the Boomer category. We couldn't agree more!

What we offer on our site is a tool that comes from the perspective of an outsider - and that should be very valuable to anyone on the inside in the industry. Our site can be a great ally - not a threat - to people that embrace what technology and social media can do for their business.

The Boomer generation has seen the civil rights movement, the women's movement, and the gay right's movement. We want to change the way we approach death as well, and that is a good thing for all.

Nancy and Sue,
You have a wonderful site! Are you aware of this recently developed site called Great Book of Life? (www.greatbookoflife.com)

Is Rhonda Harper still a VP at Wal Mart, or has she left the company to enter into the death services industry?
